Best Green Dishwasher Liquid
By admin | June 12, 2008
While I do love many of their other products, the Seventh Generation dishwasher liquid does not work well. Maybe its the water in my house but food is always still left on dishes and it seems like such a waste of water to rewash them after the cycle or prewash them before. As I said yesterday, I used Cascade tablets with Dawn before I took a “green cleaning” vow and those tablets rocked! Never had to prewash, dishes could sit in dishwasher while waiting to fill it up and nothing was ever still dirty. However, I read that the tablets contain phosphorus which I know is not good for our water supply.
Anyone have a great brand that they like? I will finish this bottle but I am hoping to find something else but I haven’t seen another eco-friendly brand at Publix or Target. Here’s to hoping I find a good one!

I haven’t tried one yet, because I’m still running through the last of an enormous vat I bought before I started transitioning my cleaning products green, but as soon as I’m out I’m going to pick up the Mrs. Meyers Clean Day. I’ve used their other products and have been super happy with them. At least in my area, they’re now being sold at Target. As soon as I get some, I’ll drop you a review.
p.s. I don’t know if you saw, but I did a variation on the six things meme.

Yes, we use the Palmolive Eco. It’s phosphate free. I can find it at Target and Wal-Mart here in Tampa. Another plus is the price; it’s super cheap!

I tried Meyers Clean Day and it’s almost as bad as 7th Gen. Too bad

My next purchase is the Palmolive Eco. I pray this is better than the 7th Gen and Myers dishwasher liquid! Thanks for the rec. EcoChic!
